TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Bookings: 

The full amount is payable upon booking. When you complete the booking and make payment, an email will be sent to confirming the date and duration of your stay.

By completing the booking and making a payment you enter into a legally binding contract with The Layby Lincs. 

The lead guest is the person who completes the online booking and makes the online payment. This person must be over 18 years of age and is responsible for ensuring all members of their party accept and adhere to these terms and conditions. The lead guest is also referred to as "you" in these Terms and Conditions.

Cancellation by you: 

If you cancel your booking less than 6 weeks before your stay, no refund will be given.

If you cancel more than 12 weeks before your stay a full refund will be given.

If you cancel less than 12 weeks but more than 6 weeks before your stay a 50% refund will be given.

All cancellations must be in writing either by post or email. In the event of cancellation by you, we do recommend that holiday insurance is purchased to protect you from loss. On cancellation we have the right to resell the booking. All bookings are none transferable.

Cancellation by us:

In the unlikely event that The Layby Lincs has to cancel your booking due to extreme conditions (weather, war or terrorism) or unforeseeable circumstances (ill health, fire, administration), then a full refund will be given

No shows: 

If you fail to arrive on your requested arrival date and have not contacted us to cancel your booking, no refund will be given.

Arrival: 

You are able to check in any time after 3:30pm and before 8pm. If arriving after 8pm, please do notify us via an email, call or WhatsApp.

Departure: 

Departure time is 10:30am. Please ensure you have vacated your vehicle by this time. On departure, all vehicles are to be left clean and tidy. All rubbish is to be disposed of responsibly in the bin in the outdoor kitchen. Recyclables should be placed in the recycling box.

Dogs: 

Dog must be kept under control at all times and must not be left unattended. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on site, unless they are within the fenced garden of Dennis or Gee Gee. 

Please clean up after your pet, complimentary poo bags can be found in the kitchen. In the vehicle, if dogs are on the furniture, we ask that you please use the throws provided where possible.

Other pets:

Any pets brought to site are expected to be house-trained and supervised, or suitably housed, at all times to ensure they do not cause any damage to the property or disturbance to other guests.

Children:

We are an adults only site, so all guests must be over 18 years of age at the time of their visit. 

Conduct: 

Guests are expected to be polite and respectful to one another and the Layby Lincs team at all times. The Layby Lincs reserve the right to ask a guest to leave, without refund, if they are in behaving in an inappropriate manner and/or disrupting other guests enjoyment of the site.

The Layby Lincs also reserve the right to ask guests to leave the site, without refund, if they are found to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions.

Breakages and Damages: 

Guests should make every effort to keep the property, fixtures and fittings and all contents in the same state of repair and condition as at the start of your stay. Any accidental damage or breakages should be reported immediately to Alex or Louise.

You are responsible and liable for any damage or breakages that occur during your stay. We do accept a degree of reasonable wear and tear, but if the damage or breakage is significant,  we reserve the right to charge you for repair or making good.

Cleaning: 

We expect the vehicle and bathroom to be left in a reasonable state on departure. We reserve the right to make an additional charge for excessive cleaning where a vehicle and/or bathroom has been left in an unacceptable condition.

Hot tubs: 

Use of the hot tub is permitted with the understanding that guests have read and agree to abide by the instructions and rules set out in the hot tub instructions provided.

Vehicles: 

No personal vehicles are allowed past the car parking area. Vehicles and their contents are parked on site at the owners’ own risk. The Layby Lincs will not accept liability for any accidents, damage or loss incurred.

Noise: 

Please avoid excessive noise, particularly between 11pm and 7am.

Smoking: 

Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is not allowed in any vehicles or their bathrooms. You may smoke in the outside areas but please ensure butts are disposed of safely in the ashtrays provided. Please request an ashtray upon arrival.

Nature: 

We are surrounded by fields and therefore have a lot of visiting nature. We do our upmost to ensure all the vehicles are clear of spiders, webs etc, but cannot guarantee you will not come across some during your stay.

Flies can be an issue at certain times of the year. All the vehicles have AC fitted so that you can keep cool without needing to have open windows or doors. We will not offer a refund due to spiders, flies or other instances where nature is at work.

To avoid wildlife visiting your kitchen, please place all food in the provided stainless steel cupboards or fridge overnight and ensure all rubbish is placed in the bin provided.

Farmland: 

We are surrounded by working farmland. Most of the time this adds to the beautiful and peaceful atmosphere at the the site. However, sometimes it can be noisy (e.g. harvest time) and/or smelly (e.g. muck spreading fields). We have no control over this and do not get any prior warning when the farmers will be undertaking these tasks. Whilst we understand that this may have an impact on your stay, we feel it is part of holidaying in the countryside and as such, we will not offer a refund if you choose to leave before your booked departure date.

Complaints: 

We endeavour to ensure your stay with us is memorable for all the right reasons. However, we do recognise that from time to time things do go wrong. In these circumstances, we ask that guests make us aware of any problems as soon as they arise, so that we have the opportunity to address them immediately.
